“Don’t be limited by your own self-doubt”
Head Sensei Alexandria Armour has trained consistently in the art for the last 26 years. Her diverse training and background in not only Karate but, Brazilian Ju-Jitsu, Kickboxing and Taekwondo, allows her to teach beyond the ‘basics and endeavours her to teach students self-defence, respect for the art, themselves and more importantly what can be achieved through hard work and effort.
ShotokanFit is affiliated with the Australian Karate Federation (AKF) and is an active body within the Queensland Karate Association (QKA). It is through these affiliations’ students have the opportunity to represent their country at both Oceanic and World level.
Classes are disciplined – yet fun – allowing the whole family to participate, learn and develop at their own speed.
We believe strongly that martial arts is a valuable asset to all, which is why we
offer a diverse background to enhance your Shotokan experience. We have taken a traditional art and evolved it into a practice that focuses on the individual’s growth and potential.
Sensei Alexandria is a Gold accredited coach who incorporates 10 fundamental focus points in the trainings to achieve maximum knowledge and skill set for her athletes in both a controlled competitive environment and the unpredictability of the real world. Fitness, flexibility and strength and conditioning are vital aspects that have been brought in to not only heighten the training experience, but tone, sculpt and develop an individual into the healthiest version of themselves.
We encourage athletes to challenge themselves through competition and gradings – but more importantly, we encourage students to be the best version of themselves in every class.
